If I hold the phone portrait and take a picture it displays the correct orientation in the Gallery application on the phone, but they aren't rotated correctly when uploading with the facebook app or sending via MMS. If I hold the phone landscape then they are fine.

Yes, same thing here.
I'v tried with auto rotate enabled and disabled.
