adrynrom 1.0

This ESE53 rom is not meant to be a badass speed demon from hell, but rather a sensible, stable rom with some much needed features.

Features, in no particular order:

The chaos kernel, named for no other reason than my GNU/Linux account name

Wifi tethering

Contacts by Wysie. Extra features and the ability to turn off haptic feedback for dialer.

Download Crutch Lite. No more wondering if your download type is supported by the browser. (Seriously, wtf Google?)

Superuser app that doesn't hang apps asking for permission the first time.

Spare parts.

Motoroi SD Card File Manager.

Helix launcher.
[APP] HelixLauncher: ON MARKET! UPDATED [140310] - xda-developers

Live walls (courtesy of ESE53).

BASH shell (check out the prompt in adb shell .

busybox w/ cp, sysrw, sysro symlinked.

Tweaks
HQ video tweak.
Wifi scan interval increased to save battery.
Disabled ring delay in build.prop.
600mhz kernel. This ROM is meant for people not needing or wanting to overclock.
Zipaligned apks.
Stock theme.

Removed
Corp Calendar.
Email.
Facebook.
Google Goggles.
Amazon MP3.
QuickOffice.
Google Maps. ESE53 has a version that cannot be upgraded.

Leaving ~54.5mb free in /system as opposed to the 20 some odd mb in 2.0.1.

Known issues:
Alphabetical order in wysie contacts has the headings wrong. Not sure how to resolve this yet, I will probably have to build it from source. You can disable the headings in the options in the meantime.

Reccomended settings for Spare Parts: Set animations and transitions to fast.

4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download (2) update.zip

Note: I goofed up on my upload, please rename the download to update.zip.

No screenshots, it looks stock!

Optional OC kernel (not supported)

Re: adrynrom 1.0

No. Thats not how I roll.

1. Because I don't want to force what I like on others.
2. Because I am not an artist, and rather give people more talented than me a clean canvas to make beauty out of.

I am also aware that folks will probably put a different kernel on this.

I just wanted to share what I use.

Re: adrynrom 1.0

Is it possible to include the ESE53 baseband into a ROM? What does the baseband upgrade do?

Re: adrynrom 1.0

It upgrades the radio, and I don't know how to include it.

I don't know if anyone does.

Re: adrynrom 1.0

You can only upgrade the baseband by using the sbf file, this is what gets pushed via OTA update. Once the baseband is flashed to 03 you have to flash 2.0.1 and reroot and place 2.1 back on...

sbf is flashed using RSD Lite from Motorola.
