[ROM] [2009,05-15] 21046 - Generic Carrier

Well, sorry for the HUGE images, but I didn't have the patience to resize them.

Actually more than 164 megabytes of free ram in use on boot, which might be interesting to some folks.

Why not ... :)

Lets try this again !

<sarcasm> I personlly wrote all the code for every application and the kitchen from scratch, using a personally developed programming language ... all on a computer that I built myself, starting with soldering the motherboard and a, etc. etc. etc. </sarcasm>

Seriously, if they wanted to do it, Microsoft or the OEMs could shut all of this down, so I thank them for allowing us to continue to tinker on our phones to get the most out of our mobile experience.

Used BePe's kitchen
Used some of calkulin's OEM's
Used some of rstoyguy's OEM's
Used some ppckitchen OEM's

heh heh heh

You'll be disappointed, but I figured why not ... the 21046 XIP/SYS has been out there for almost a week and I haven't seen a cdma diamond rom built with it yet, so I figured why not.

BePe's kitchen makes it super easy. It was less than 20 minutes to go from the latest stock sprint rom to 21046. I hope it works! :)

Just what I was looking for, a 6.1 ROM without TF3D.
Could you give us a brief run down of what's included/not included?

I'm glad someone else things along these lines.

I'm going to have to pull the links ... initially it seemed promising, but as the day has gone on, results have been very inconsistent with lockups, etc.

Sorry - Best regards,

I'm having trouble with the dialer. when in call, all I see is a white background and the normal speaker phone and such buttons are not showing up. Is slide 2 answer included?

I have been running my rom with 21046 for three days and it is still snappy i am running just basic manila and a few apps nothing heavy. It seems pretty stable. I am proud that the thing just booted up cause it was my first port.

Hey, great news ... I figure the issue(s) I ran into are due to the fact I (tried to) :) port the entire XIP and not just the parts that get the most attention.

I'm a perfect example to the fact that (with BePe's newest kitchen), getting a full set of SYS/XIP files to port isn't a big deal and takes about ten minutes - getting them to work properly when going from one device to another is an entirely different and under-appreciated thing. :D

Kudos !

Yeah I totally understand that one. I initially tried to port to my Touch Pro and it did not go very well. It was booting and all but the sliding keyboard was not even seen by the OS. The storage card was not seen either. I then tried my diamond and it went great. I am currently still running it to see if is stable or not. I am throwing everything I know how and some things that I do not at it. Lol. This is exciting stuff
