Help me choose a ROM please

Help this Newb Chewz... I want a ROM that will look like my plain jane standard ALLTEL HTC Diamond without Touchflo 3d, that will give me better battery lilfe (this is my main goal), good speed and stability. I don't want games or extra apps... just the basics. Can you chime in and thanks in advance you all.
