I am not responsible for any damage that you may cause to your phone! Before flashing make sure your phone is
unlocked and you know how to flash.

A big thanks to Juicy & Calcu since these ROMs were built using their kitchens

-------------------------------------------------

PLEAS READ THE TOPAZ BUG LIST AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD. Even though there are several minor bugs, i feel that in its current state it IS usable for my day to day operations (just maybe not yours).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

KNOWN ISSUES WITH TOPAZ MANILA!!!!
Facebook engine doesn't work
When in music library the last 2 songs are hidden
Cannot access clock settings by clicking on the clock on the homepage
If a favorite contact has multiple numbers, when you hit the icons below their picture it will call their first number listed (email and txt buttons do work)
When replying to a message through tf3d it will still save the message as "unread" till you select the message in the "all messages" option
When selecting a city in the weather tab the letters are scrunched up, but this doesn't affect usability
G-sensor in settings tab does nothing
"Remove" program tab softkey doesn't change. when you are done removing programs just hit remove again to stop it.
Various Landscape tabs may not be resized
There are probably some I have forgot...
If you don't like the glitches, don't use the topaz version!
These glitches CAN NOT be fixed till the released topaz manila is ported over!!

Re: 3/20/09 TerSoth's ROM v1.0 w/Alltel Manila HD

What is included in the UC folder and setup

AKToggleWifiCab.cab-a toggle button to turn Wifi on/off
Badboy8813 Audio Fix- (Full Volume).cab-Turns up the volume on the device
Diamond Tweak 0.5.3_English.cab-A handy utility to tweek your device
eLiAs_ASyncKiller.cab-Prevents active synce from running the background
RSSHub_packed_by_swtos.cab-RSS Hub
ShakeAndSave_Setup.cab-screen capture program
smartfall_ppc.cab-tetris like game
tcmdphone.cab-total commander
TCPMP-0.72RC1-GF5500Edition-Alpha4.1.cab-TCMP video player
ViigoPublicBeta.cab-RSS reader
Yota Contacts VGA ENG LSK.cab-Alternate contact application. mapped to left soft key on home screen
KinomaFreePlayInstaller.cab-Kinoma FreePlay-media player, youtube, podcast downloader
Facebook.cab-facebook application
TaskFacade4.cab-Visual task switcher w/different themes. Great way to multitask!!!

How to make it work:
Unzip the folder and extract it to the root of your internal storage (after you extract it the directory for the folder should be "Internal Storage\UC1"
Now open the folder up and place the SDConfig text document in the root of the internal storage.

Now after you flash or hard reset it should install the cabs you want.
Please note that if you install all the cabs or add more to the list it may take a while to run through the customization process, this is normal.
If you want to remove cabs just delete them from the folder and delete the entry in the sdconfig.txt.
Or if you want to add cabs just add them to the folder and add the appropriate entries in the sdconfig.txt

Does this ROM have UC/SDAutoRun built-in?
Since it's a very clean rom, it would be nice to be able to add our own programs easily.

Flashing this right now. Good to see another Diamond ROM builder!

Does this have the battery life tweaks and fast charge dll?

Thanks.

it does have the battery life tweaks, but i didn't include the fast charge dll. I have the file, but I remember people getting all up at arms about people posting it without no2chem's permision. I haven't personal spoken to him to see if it was okay for me to include the file, but I can look in to it.

I thought caclu's rom and kitchen were UC compliant? (I personally don't use UC) If not, I'll be sure to add UC. I know there is Sashimi too. Which one do most people use?

Cool. I am more concerned with the battery life then the fast charge.

So far this is running really smooth, I'm liking it a lot! Not sure I'm a big fan of the Alltel blue but it's growing on me. I do need to find a cab for RSS hub because I do use that a lot.

Great job!
Thanks.

well here is the RSS hub cab. I use it a lot too, but I just have it installed to my internal storage instead. That way when I flash 3 or 4 times a week my channels and stories are still stored on the internal storage and I don't have to re-enter all the channels. or you can try using viigo beta (the main reason I didn't use IE6 was that viigo beta isn't compatible with it). it stores all your channels and stories in the cloud and it has a pretty slick user interface.

I have been flashing a lot lately myself but I have my channels on the storage card so I just need to load the program back. I tried viigo a while back but it seemed really slow for me?

It's UC compliant if you select SDAutorun. [I think... now I'm going to have to go check.]

Checked... I don't see it there. So maybe you're right. I'll have to give it a try!

If by "reference" you mean some instructions...
there is a whole thread over at XDA. You basically just need to read through the first few posts.

You can use both UC and Sashami in the same rom. I personally like sashimi, because I'm lazy, and I'd rather drag and drop than write sdconfig text. Also, I can bypass it if I want to.

I've been running this for a over a day now and am very impressed. Very stable, Battery life is great and love the overall feel of the ROM.

Only had one issue so far and that is when I click a web link from RSS Hub it launches Opera and goes to the search start page and that is it. Does not go to the link?

Any thoughts?

yeah I've had this problem too, the only temp fix i found was to set skyfire as my default browser. I'm not sure if it due to 15954, I'm going to test it out with another version of opera.

Hi Guys, you may want to install this cab as well which will turn off Opera as the default browser. Then if you decide you want Opera back, just uninstall it. I found this installing the new tcpmp player and this was part of the process enabling ie to open sites rather than Opera. Hope this helps.

Hello Tersoth,

Flashed your rom and I agree, its very nice. =D> Seems very fast and stable which is great. One thing I noticed is the data bars on my phone are not turning off but I'm pretty sure data is not still on. It just isn't showing that it's off. Just wanted to see if you noticed this. Also is there a way to remove the curtains so you can put utilize full wallpapers? Lastly I tried to remove the vistahide gauge but it keeps telling me I can't. Using total commander to try to remove it from windows>startup folder. Thanks again.

Hey Riley ... rather than try to delete Vistahide, use Total Commander to move it into a different directory, such as your internal storage, reset, and then delete it. As for the elimination of the curtains, it's an option in Calcu's kitchen. He or anyone else who cooks there, just needs to uncheck the option in the buildos.

Back when I was using OMJ's rom, he had Vistahide built into it. When I went to delete it, it gave me a file sharing violation. So the only way I could get rid of it (at least not have it start on boot up), was to cut and paste it to my internal storage, and delete it there. I thought that I used Total Commander, but perhaps I just used file explorer. Whatever I used, did the trick, though ...

Great rom but the black clock on the blue is horrible.

Where can I get a diff clock that wont mess up the hd manilla?

Also voice recorder does not work. No option in the menu when on a call to choose record.

I believe you can use any clock without it messing up the hd manila (the only one im not sure of is the sprint digital clock).

Thank you for bringing the in-call recorder to my attention, i was just about to update it, but Ill fix it now before i release it tonight.

Thank you for bringing the in-call recorder to my attention, i was just about to update it, but Ill fix it now before i release it tonight.

Awesome Tersoth. This is one of the best roms on the this forum. Everything seems to works great. Love the fact that you kept pie5, pie6 stinks in my opinion. Plus pie5 is required for some tcmpmp setups. Great job! Opera is lightning fast. Overall look and feel is sharp. Thanks again.
