[Android GSM/CDMA][4.04MFLOPS][Download 08.06.2010]

So guys, I didn't want you to wait more days so I am just releasing current state. So far this build seems to be the one I will work on as it runs fast.

My wife's sitting in my neck last days cause I was sitting too much in front off my netbook. Anyone wanna help me?

As I said it runs very smooth. Just try it for your own and give me feedback

Important:
- This release runs fast but keep in mind: When first booting it. Don't touch your device the first 10mins after it has booted into Android cause it will execute a script and do optimizations and therefore be slow. Next boots will be fast and also device will be fast.

If anyone would provide me with Linpack Benchmarks I would be grateful

Installation:
Like the last EXT2-builds: Use my Haret-Paket. You may download latest on my Homepage.
This build should work on compatible devices, too: Blackstone, Fuze, Raphael, Rhodium, Topaz, Tilt2

UPDATE 07.06.2010: Here are the screenshots for the which were requested:

Video which shows how I run LinPack and get a result of 3.6MFLOPS. When overclocking I get 4.04MFLOPS:

What has changed in the UPCOMING Build:
- Removed ASTRO, Gallery3d and some other apps
- Added AppInstaller, Linpack, Advanced Taskkiller and some other apps
- Keyboard-Fix
- Tweak: JIT-Enabled Dalvik VM
- this & that
- you will have to use an app called "Reboot Widget" for correct powerdown / reboot (go goole for it -> not included because it is not free)

What does not work: Camera, GPS...

Sorry guys for the delay but I am repackaging everything and adding individual startups for compatible devices. If you register on my website you may grab the latest build as soon as I've uploaded it and before I repack and republish the compatible build.

is this in a ROM format or does it run of the memory card? IF the later why dont we see it run off the main memory?

It still has to be run off of the internal memory and should work for all other compatible devices such fuze, raphael, blackstone etc. I think it could be easily flashed to our devices but therefore we will need some contributors / helpers / testers. It should be equal procedures regarding the HTC Vogue.

Note: You will have to use Linux and repartition your memory with ext2-partitions. So this will be easily flashable when someone releases a flash-method. As my Touch Diamond GSM has no sd card it runs pretty fast off of my internal memory. As you see I get about 4 MFLOPS which is a very good value when you compare it to other devices.

I have never installed an Android ROM. Do we just flash like we would a regular ROM?
Also, if ever wanted to revert back to the WM ROM - how easy is it? Thanks, the Android stuff is really new to me.

Are there step by step instructions some where I can look up?

This Android build runs like every other Android build on our phones with HARET. HARET is an executable which stops windows processes and boots up linux - in this case Android. I have updated first post with Installation instructions. Please if you are an unexperienced user with linux then this won't work immediately for you. You will have to learn how to create partitions on linux and how to extract archives. But just follow installation instructions and read everything twice.

I'll try it.

I got a Kernal Panic: Rebooting in 7 seconds error. So no dice. I used the Startup from the Diamond 500 - Normal folder. It said something about sending a correct root command.

Seems like both of you - sorry to say this - have a problem with partitioning and / or untarring files. It should work. You may consider the thread on diamond section or the according group on my website if you need assistance.

Wow, great work! Any way to install if you don't have a computer running Linux? How is the battery life?
