Welcome to my Kitchen. This is a custom ROM skinned for those who aren't big fans of all the colors in the sense UI. This is a Winmo/Android Dual Boot ROM.All this does is allow you to boot into either Winmo Or Android if you already have it installed on your internal storage. If this app is of no use to you, you can simply uninstall it under system/remove programs.:mrgreen:

Sashimi Tutorial
  1. Place The Attached SASHIMI Folder Into The Root Of Your Internal Storage.
  2. I Have Ready-Made Cabs Placed In Organized Folders. They Are Found In /Internal Storage/ SASHIMI/ Manual/ Cabs/ ...
  3. Sashimi Will Run On Second Boot. To Have Cabs Install Automatically To Your Internal Storage, You Need To Place Them In /Internal Storage/ SASHIMI/ Auto/ Cabs/ SC/ ... "No Folders Should Be Here, Just Cab Files" ...
  4. These Cabs Benefit From My ROM Because I Cook The Needed Registry Entrees In My ROM With Custom Icons, So These Cabs Will Be Placed In The Proper Folder And Will Have A Custom Icon. I Do This So The ROM Will Keep Its Professional, Clean, And Organized State And Yet Have Plenty Of Storage Memory.
---If There Is A Cab You Would Like Me To Do This For That Isn't Already Presented Within SASHIMI Then Please Upload Your Cab And I Will Make The Needed Changes To Place It In The Correct Folder And Place A Custom Icon. Tutorial For Installing Android On Your Diamond

I have repackaged everything that you need to run Android on your diamond. I will stay updated with the latest and greatest files to make this as easy as possible for you all!

1. Download: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WW1HOK5Y ------ 3/31/2010

2.Extract everything from the package straight into your internal storage. DO NOT place the files in a folder within internal storage or it will not work.

3.Boot Haret.exe. The first process will take a few minutes. You will come to a calibration setup. Be sure to press the white boxes quickly and lightly as it tends to double press and..... Welcome Android!:mrgreen:

4.Go to the link in the first post to better understand Android and how it works on our devices!

  • Bluetooth Works
  • Wifi Should Not Crash Android When Turned Off
  • Wifi Should work now with the wifi patch in the root.img file
  • Power collapse now works, so power consumption should be much lower when the screen is turned off.
  • Microphone is now working
  • Data and text works
  • The "end call" button takes the phone in and out of sleep
  • Android's "Menu" button is mapped to the top-left/Home button. The 5-way pad and the scroll ring both work.
  • Android's "Home" button is mapped to the power button on top of the phone.
  • DATA working by adding an APN under Settings->Wireless&Networks->Mobile Networks->APN. Add a new APN with "name": Android "APN": internet.Save and soft reset.(Thanks toenail)
  • To sync contacts you Sync them to google account (hardly any point in using Android if you don't have one), then when you set up Android, you'll be asked for your google account, which will automatically sync everything. (Thanks Shaned 197)

Thanks amikam. You should try it. Android is VERY close to being able to use for everyday use. Not to mention its always nice to be able to switch between two different interfaces when one gets boring! :laughing6:

Where would I find the Andriod package for the diamond? I tried putting the one on for TP2, but it won't boot to andriod?

I have never played with andriod either, a few quick pointer for us noobs?! :)
