Is it Sprint or my phone?

i currently have a HTC Evo shift. for the past week i have been getting tons of dropped phone calls, no signal, and roaming notifications. ive called Sprint everyday about this issue. they all told me it was due to the upgrade they were doing on my towers(for LTE). even though i explained to them it was happening everywhere i went. yesterday the rep told me that its not with Sprint it is my phone thats not working anymore. she even said they receive lots of complaints regarding this issue with HTC phones. my email and texting are working fine. just the call making/receiving issue is the problem. anyone else experience this. thanks

Take it to a corporate repair center then they can run a drop call test on your phone

i went to a sprint store and the problem is because they are upgrading the towers here. which can take up to 3 months to complete. sprints customer service reps(on the phone) are the worst. they are clueless fools that dont want to help you at all nor do they know what is going on. their solution is we will give you $10 credit but we will extend your contract another year. meanwhile we all have phones out here that dont work properly

Yea it's things like this that make me glad that I switched to T-mobile last November , the EVO shift is an old phone which means you probably don't have much left on your contract. So your ETF shouldn't be alot if you bail out now.

$70 to get out of the contract. i told them i shouldnt have to pay a penny since my phone is unusable right now. and the going thing they keep saying but wait how good it will be(maybe in 3 months) great response when you cant use your phone the way you pay to use it. they just dont get it.

Try emailing dan@sprint.com to see if you can get out for free. Didn't work for me, maybe it will for you.

Just call retentions dept. I don’t have # available. But if you call customer service and follow the prompts as if you’re cancelling service, you will get to them.

They will answer as account Services or Finances. Just explain to them your issue. You should not have to have your contract extended in a case where their system is not working properly.

They should probably give you the credit with no problem. They are more versed with customer issues/complaints. Especially legitimate ones. I don’t even deal with regular Customer Service anymore.

I have the same issue as OP. I live in southern California about 40 mins from LA and 2 hours from San Diego and it seems like for the past 3 months my service with sprint which was never the good to begin with got drastically worse. I am starting to seriously consider a switch to AT&T once they start their share everything plans.
