That popup is VERY obnoxious, I'm going back to the old version.
This is the first negative thing I've had to say about this product, I'm somewhat disappointed with you guys. |

Hello, thanks for all your work, I had no way to use this 1.8.2 because last night I installed new OS, if I can after I try and I'll know when I will have to charge my card I send my contribution for your work.
Best regards and thanks again |
Re: [10/1/10] BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife v1.8.2
Hi Again,
Please find attached a screenshot that shows the problem with capturing the device screen (it happens on both an 8310 and 8100, so would not be device specific, I think). Obviously, let me know if you want me to do any specific testing / trials - only too happy to help. http://whitefiversystems.co.uk/8100ss.png Andrew |

Had a great experience with bask and my upgrade to the leaked 975 os... One idea
Is there anyway to add a feature to direct the loader to the particular os you want to install? Saos let's you load from the pointed to os is why Im asking. Then I don't need two programs |
Re: [10/1/10] BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife v1.8.2
We will have to look into this. Thanks for the suggestion.

This has always been a great program for me and i will donate later today. My question is this, i have attached my screen to this post. I have the text on my computer set to 125% instead of 100% so i can see better. When i do this bbsak looked like the attachment. Any way we can make the program sizeable, so we can change how big the box is of the program?

Re: [10/1/10] BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife v1.8.2
Hi!
I use multiple Blackberry devices as I do some testing on them. I've recenty ran ran across your application and I was very curious if it would be able to install an application I've been having trouble installing on an 8310. Still doesn't work but i'm assuming it's the way the software was designed to install apps. The app i'm trying to put on is not a COD file, but a JAD file. I noticed the disclaimer that JAD and all CODs it references must be located in the same folder. What happens if the JAD file is the only file i'm given to install the app, and there is no COD? The app is unsigned. Could that be a problem? I'm running Windows 7 professional 64-bit. It also doesn't recognize my BB Tour 9630 from Sprint. Please advise! |
Re: [10/1/10] BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife v1.8.2
I also just tried installing Opera onto a bold 9000, and it's a no go as well :(
|
Re: [10/1/10] BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife v1.8.2
You definitely need the cod with the jad as the jad is just a pointer file...
|
Re: [10/1/10] BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife v1.8.2
I guess the problem here is that the JAD file is linked to a JAR file rather than a COD file. No way we could tweak the app to install the JAR?

Hopefully the programmer (Wide) comes by soon to answer that possibility.

Re: [10/1/10] BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife v1.8.2
My backup keeps hanging at 99%...need to kill it with taskmanager. Using Windows7 as admin with UAC off.
When I look in the BBSAK folder, my backups appear to be there and look complete. Any ideas on the "hang" at 99%??? |
Re: [10/1/10] BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife v1.8.2
The same thing is happening to me also.
I'm using windows XP. Quote:

Re: [10/1/10] BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife v1.8.2
Hi Everyone
How long does an AppRestore take? My 9700 is still connected via usb and the BBSAK restore my 3rd Apps since approx. 60 minutes. On my BB screen i see a picture with a bb and a pc and two arrows, no moving or something like that. BBSAK on my pc is running, but i cant do anything with it. No results to a button push or so. I backuped the Apps from my old 9700, got a new 9700 and started the restore. I use BBSAK 1.8.2 Greetz Ice |

1.8.1 (or maybe 1.8...not sure if I ever installed .1) didn't hang at 99%, but it also didn't show a progress window, it would just backup in the background and give a "complete" dialog when finished. I much prefer seeing the progress, so when it eventually works (or I find out what is causing the problem here) it will be the better option. |

Re: [10/1/10] BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife v1.8.2
I still can not get BBSAK v1.8.2 to detect my Tour 9630 (OS 5.0.0.484). Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. It keeps saying No Device Detected, BBDM works fine. I am running BBSAK as Administrator. V1.7 worked for a while and then started doing the same thing. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: [10/1/10] BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife v1.8.2
Try using a different USB port. Also try rebooting/batterypull on the Tour while its plugged to USB port and BBSAK is open. Try "kill processes" Do you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed? You'll need the drivers from it.

My Third Party Apps list in Options|Applications contains 47 programs, but many are links/launchers like Crackberry and Dcom. I don't think I have anything exotic. The BBSAK backup folder is 35.9 MB. |
