Does anyone have any idea how to unlock for use on AT&T

Verizon or Sprint? If you have service already through either of those carriers you call and get the unlock code (say you're goin out of the country) this unlocks the sim. then you can put in a att sim and do service books etc. Register first at blackberry.com then send service books from there.

You can buy unlock codes for a nominal cost from several online sources also.

It is a T-Mobile BlackBerry .. I Have Service with AT&T but I just want to learn how to unlock these phones to increase their value

Its not likely you'll get Sprint to activate the phone. Usually unlocks are to put phones on Cricket, Metro or a GSM network. Sprint and Verizon don't take each others phones.
