Palringo v1.7.0 Beta1
 

As stated guys this is the newest official alpha beta release for the blackberries running OS 5.0, this is in early beta but Sam is working as fast as he can to fix the issues.

Please report here with your findings so I can forward them to him

Is Sam creating one from the Palringo API or is he creating it himself? If not from their API, there is a possibility this isn't going to work, could be a virus, etc.

Have you tried it yet? Did it work on yours?

I'd just be careful if I were you. :)

lmao no worries, sam is the head of the team from palringo for the Blackberry software so this is straight from palringo themeselves...Im apart of the palringo alpha beta team, and yes its safe as hell to download it as im testing it now

Great to know and thanks to you both for helping. I would be glad to try this now that I know it's safe to use and not a bad program. Actually wowthatisrandom who is a member here said to let you all know he'd be glad to test this on his BB tour as well if you need it, he knows Sam. WOW, it looks amazing! Wonder how long before my battery dies....

I'm impressed!

This is an absolutely wonderful BB Application and if you are addicted to Palringo, you’ll love it even more on your BB http://www.ppcgeeks.com/wp-includes/...icon_smile.gif I ran it for an hour and it only used a 1/4 of my battery. Not bad at all considering with the first few versions, it killed the batter in 1 hour.

So far what I've experienced:

When signing in with BB Storm, it takes a little long to synchronize, but gets there eventually

When posting in chatrooms what I post shows up about 3 slots above last post in room if that makes sense

Everything else is working wonderfly! :)

Testing battery life now! Started Pal at 8:30 PM Central Time. I will let you know when it dies.....

ok initial thoughts,

first GUI is nice, graphics look great very nice upgrade here.

Definitely need a sign in button on the sign in page, the options button deal isnt the best way.

again within chat, not in love with the menu button bringing up the switch to img/aud deal, i think maybe putting the buttons to the right of the text field might be a better option.

when sending a voice note you need to have something that tells you your recording, was very confusing at first.

when sending images, i think it would be cool if when u clicked image u prompt for images already on device or start camera.

app seems a little laggy at the beginning but once its open for 30 sec or so (maybe as long as it takes for everything to load) then seems to settle in and work pretty smoothly

highlight color in the messages could be lighter, its a bit hard to read the text in the box thats highlighted.

when receiving the message form the same person (in private chat, aim etc) only need to see their name one time if they are sending messages in succession. ie

Wow: Hi
> whats up
Wideawake: yo
Wow: pow pow
> where you at


will keep playing, and monitor battery tomorrow (this is my biggest fear)
