make wifi default internet connection in 6.5?

when i connect to my wifi through wifi monster, my phone still wants to use the data connection for internet connections. its annoying because i'm in the basement most of the time, and i barely have any reception, and i have to keep manually turning off the data connection through the comm manager. is there some setting someplace that defaults the wifi, if available? i don't want it to automatically turn on and search or anything, i just basically want it to use wifi first if its available.

Use nodata from Modaco to disable the data conn when you want to use wifi only

Re: make wifi default internet connection in 6.5?

since 6.5 is only available through custom roms, i figured this was the appropriate forum to ask...

Re: make wifi default internet connection in 6.5?

i was kind of hoping for a trick to make the phone default to its wifi connection for internet data only when its connected, and not have to use a separate program. because even with the cellular data connection disabled, browsers sometimes stumble and seem to not accept the wifi as a valid internet source unless i reconnect.
