No Data connection..

my phone has voice.. but refuses to dial any data connection be it 1x or evdo..

The last thing I did when it went out (thought it was a network outage) and my carrier just told me it was

- Was internet sharing via bluetooth.. (and it was working fine and than just stopped)

- I have reset it numerous times (obviously)
- I have called my provider and found that 1 is set active profile.. (in mls)
- I think the problem has something to do with the dialer..
#777 whenever I do data.. I don't see the dialer come up.. but I see weird flash's on the 1x bar.. like it's trying to do something.. (my provider.. sprint says it's set properly)

This the rom I have..
- might rom 4.10 (I believe)
- sprint radio 1.04f (I believe)

The only recent software I've tried is wmwifirouter 1.35? and that worked okay accept it always drained my battery and refused to plug-in power.. which was actually why I switched to bluetooth.. and that was the last time i know off data worked..

Exclamation Re: No Data connection..

I had the same problem, and ended up fixing it myself. I know this is my first post but please trust me. This .cab also fixes the problems in WinMo 6.5 beta as well.
  1. Run the .cab that I have attached to this post and
  2. Go into settings
  3. At the bottom click the system tab
  4. Run the "Update Profile" program that is now listed
  5. *Run Update PRL
After these simple steps you should be back in business. This cab also fixes the SMS Character limit and MMS problems for Sprint.

Sprint assumes that you have a stock rom, so to them yes, your phone is working fine.

*is not required but helps you with better service.

Re: No Data connection..

Well, damn I didn't think wmwifirouter did it.. cause I was using microsoft's internet sharing by bluetooth when it went out.. wtf?

this isn't the first time this pos program has borked my internet.. that's 2/2 for now..

Anyway my honest opinion is now.. it's not good enough
- need's infrastructure
- it's killing the battery and not able to work on plugged in power..

makes it well crappy.. thanks though.. I dunno why I forgot that I had bluetooth tethering option at my bad EVDO signal Atlantic city hotel.. but that was the main reason I popped that bad program back on.. was range problems etc. on the downside.. bluetooth 2.0 can't provide near a mbit at all.. maybe a 1/2 a mbit of internet and it's prone to lose data connections.. maybe they'll fix that in bluetooth 3 ehh

BTW the options, crash cleanup is gone in the program.. a uninstall fixed it.. (I take it they do it now when you take it off)

I also see I'm not the only to share this fate..
