Ringer Trouble

Hey, anyone know why my 800 won't decipher between known and unknown callers? I have two different .wav files for each one, but no matter what, the unknown caller one rings. Any ideas? TIA

Re: Ringer Trouble

I don't have this problem. On occasion my phone will not ring at all but after a soft reset it comes back to normal. Do you have any dialers or caller ID apps installed other than what was originally on the device?

Re: Ringer Trouble

try mp3 format??? i have mp3 songs i snipped with audacity, pasted to ringtones folder and assigned accordingly. now that i think about it, the format might not mean jack, but mine's knows the difference and the ringer are in mp3 format.

I have placed the files in the appropriate folder and tried both formats. I can't seem to get it to recognize the difference. They all still come through as unknown calls as far as ringers go.

Re: Ringer Trouble

I dont have that problem, but i have a problem with the ringtones going back to default for some reason, i have tried many things even hard reset, i had the same problem in both of my 800w, after hard resetting is ok for a while, must be something i keep installing, then my alarm wont sound either just vibrates...

This is not the appropriate thread for that and there has been many threads on that topic already. A simple search for 'increase ringer volume' would probably give you all you need.
