SMT5800 6.1 upgrade?

I've searched all over but so far have found nothing indicating there is a WM6.1 upgrade for the SMT5800. Does anyone know of one? I was tempted to try the Moto Q9c since it has the upgrade, but I really think my wife would rather have the pull out keyboard. Decisions, decisions.

Re: SMT5800 6.1 upgrade?

I have the smt5800 and also waiting for the 6.1 update .. in my case i really want the bluetooh problem fix which is suppose to be included in the 6.1 update. I would think it will be release soon since it is already out for the two models of the smt5800...lol.. just waiting for verizon to catch up is always half the battle.

Do you have any links to info regarding the other 5800 updates since nobody here appears to be interested in it?

Re: SMT5800 6.1 upgrade?

You know, there is an upgrade to the Telus device: http://www.htc.com/us/SupportDownloa...at=2&dl_id=106

enables Rev A and everything...for Telus. But it adds some telus blechy software. I wonder if one of the imortal kitchen beings can crack that thing open and spit out a rev a smt5800?

Yes and if so have the comm manager include wifi. If you look through the regedit you find it in there.

Re: SMT5800 6.1 upgrade?

The hard part of getting the Telus ROM installed on Verizon devices is that the device is probably CID locked. If we could get around that somehow, we could not only install the Telus WM6.1 upgrade, but we could also cook up custom ROMs very easily.

Anyone have any ideas of how to get around the CID locK? Is the route taken on the Mogul, Vogue, and Victor to get in touch with OliPro and Cmonex?
