Re: HTC Touch screen toggle
Have you tried adjusting backlight options? They're here:
Start > Settings > System (tab) > Backlight And also here: Start > Settings > System (tab) > Power BTW you posted in the Touch Pro forum, which is different from the PPC you show as being HTC Touch. To verify which phone you have, navigate to: Start > Settings > System (tab) > Device Info > Identity (tab) See if the Model No. is VOGU100. If so, this thread belongs in the Vogue forum. |

Re: HTC Touch screen toggle
Ah, hah! So, you have a "Touch Dual" with the slightly smaller 2.6" (vs. 2.8") screen, and a drop down hardware dialpad. Far as I know, it's neither Touch Pro nor Vogue! Oh well, it's your question that's more important anyway.
Over a hundred views, and nobody helping? Hmm. Maybe we don't understand the question. Like, how exactly is your Dual connected to your computer? Is it tethered, sync'd, or simply a 'handshake' type ActiveSync connection as when flashing a ROM or using desktop software to control mobile device. Or maybe that's part of what you're asking. In any case, I'm really not able to help. Clarification might help somebody who's more knowledgeable. |

Re: HTC Touch screen toggle
Hi again,
Thanks for the replies , The HTC Dual is connected via USB Cable to a Windows 7 Machine. I am running the software: "Efficasoft Mobile Express" to send/receive txt messages on the device as this is the only software I could find with compatibility for Win7. I have also tried those power and battery solutions you have mentioned in your old post but after the timeout the data connection to the computer seems to disconnect but charging continues. |

Re: HTC Touch screen toggle
Since charging continues OK, it would seem you could set both backlight and power to never shut down by UN-checking both boxes that apply when on external power, i.e. while charging. Here's screenshot for power (box is similar for backlight):
If this works, I'd suggest setting backlight at a really low brightness level so as to keep from over heating. |
