How to Transfer Contacts from Mogul to Evo 3D

Just upgraded to Evo 3D, from my mogul. 6 years is a good run on a phone.
Can't blue tooth sync. I've used Dotfred's PimBackup to back my stuff up. I really wonder if I'm the only person out there to make a move like this. Hell tinkerbell rom runs great on my mogul. mogul just had issues of it own. I've searched and I can't find a good way to transfer my stuff.

So anyone out there can help, I would appreciated it.

Re: How to Transfer Contacts from Mogul to Evo 3D

Have you tried syncing with google? Here's how you do it..

1. Open the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync application on your device's home screen.
2. Press Set up your device to sync with it.
3. Enter m.google.com as the server address.
4. Ensure that the SSL option is selected.

Sign in to your Google account

5. Press Next.
6. Enter your full Google Account email address in the User name field.
7. Enter your Google Account password in the Password field. If you're a 2-step verification user, please use an application-specific password instead.
8. Leave the Domain field empty. If your device requires you to enter a domain name, enter google.
9. Press Next.
10. Check Contacts, Calendar, or Email, depending on which you'd like to sync. (Tasks is not supported and will lead to an error if checked.)
11. Press Finish.

12. Press the Sync softkey on the left to synchronize.

Re: How to Transfer Contacts from Mogul to Evo 3D

Windows has been a long time back, but I do recall it saves your contacts in a file. Also have you tried to Bluetooth them over? PIM backup saves everything. But I believe there is a PIM file in the phone (not sd card) that can be read in word) and you can log into google on your laptop, copy that file over to your pc, and cut and paste as you as new contacts to google. That will auto sync to you're phone. I suggest you find a simple way to convert your pim file for Android if that option is out there.

I went from the touch pro 1 to the first evo. To get it at discount I added a line, but to transfer my main number to the new phone I would lose the discount. So I just played with the evo for first month. Google sync worked perfect, I would add a number to my touch pro and then PC up the evo and the new number was already there.

With your Android phone, when you save a new number, always save to google and not phone if it asks. You loose your phone, or upgrade, simply signing into google brings in all your contacts.
