i am trying to see if there is a rom that is similar to android that i can use on my diamond on metropcs..

Check out the Touch Pro thread, if you haven't yet. It works the same on Diamond. (If you've already done so, read the faqs, and search that thread and the Touch Pro 2 Android forum -- I'm pretty sure folks have gotten data working on MetroPCS.)
