youtubeplay 1.0.7 - YouTube Player - featuring full FLV
 

This is my YouTube search/player application. Bit like the latest CorePlayer.

It allows you to search for videos in a nice friendly Windows Mobile app and then plays the full FLV video (not miniscule MPEG4 versions) with its own player.
The app is written in a mixture of .net and C so you need the .net runtime, v2 or v3.5:

The video player overlay is hacked out of TCPMP and the FLV part is based on FFMPEG.

Things planned: Support for YouTube logons, video uploads, user favorites and better caching/buffering.Things not planned: Other video sites.
Known issues: Square mode not quite right. Other character sets (Chinese etc.) don't work apparently. Close button sometimes takes a few pushes.
Everybody should note that this application will eat bandwidth, no consideration has been made for data consumed, so Wifi/ActiveSync or unlimited 3g only, be prepared for a big data bill otherwise. Won't work well on GPRS anyway as FLV vids are quite sizeable.

This worked great! Good easy navigating app. I didn't see an option to rotate the phone for full screen, but in the settings it was saying something about that. How do you go about doing this?

Great app, but video stops sometimes when changing landscapes. great work. It would also be cool if you coud skin it like the diamond one. Thanks

What are the last 3 options for the checkbox buttons in the config menu? The text is black/doesn't show up against the black background.

is anybody succeeded to make this fullscreen while on landscape? im still getting the player buttons...
