START HERE: Frequently asked questions and getting started

Thank you for your interest in XDAndroid, the Android build you can run on your outdated HTC WinMo device!

To help get you started, a wiki FAQ has been created, that guides you through the process of installing and using XDAndroid.

If you know what you're talking about, you can make edits directly to the FAQ to help out others. Try and keep in mind that sometimes less is more, and avoid adding trivial questions or burdensome detail (i.e. wikitis).

If you have a comment or want to discuss something about the FAQ, feel free to reply here.

Please do NOT reply here asking for support about your particular situation. Every post in this thread should be somehow related to the FAQ. Support requests should either be made in the build thread for the build they are related to, or as their own thread for more general situations.

So far, all of the questions and answers have been written by stinebd, arrrghhh, and me, but if you see anything missing, please do help out!

Particularly for those getting started with XDAndroid, be sure to mention any questions that you're left with after reading this.

Hmmm...I am almost certain that we can never stop the redundant questions, it is part of being a noob.
