Well as I recall, froyo didn't take all that long to port... once AOSP was available for it. They've only released the SDK for 2.3, that does us no good...

Hopefully when AOSP is made available, it'll only take a few tweaks to get us up to speed... Assuming there isn't some huge limitation, which I can't imagine there would be but I do hear they changed a lot on the backend of things... Which may or may not help.

yeah, I'm hoping things just got lost in translation there. Demanding free work from developers, especially on a timetable, is a real jerk move. If you were paying them $2000 to do it in 1 month, and they agreed to do it, then you can get pushy (though I still wouldn't recommend it)

you guys make me laugh i am not trying to make them work faster i am wanting to know from a dev a relistic time frame for getting 2.3 if its going to be 6 months then so be it now i am also guessing that it will be a month mabey 2 before the devs have a idea of any kind on how long it will take

Re: 2.3 GingerBread

First ask Google when they'll release the 2.3 source code. Until then, no work can be done

I don't know why you think it would take 2 months before the devs have any idea of how long it will take. The XDAndroid folks had a 2.2 port running within a week of the source code's release
