WinMo ROM is completely meaningless to Android. Doesn't effect RAM or battery life in Android at all - WinMo is kicked out of memory, about all it does is initialize hardware for us. Literally. You can use a slim ROM, a full blown ROM, whatever. Doesn't matter.

Thanks, at least a slim ROM will give me a shorter boot time. Can someone recommend a slim ROM?

On my last weeks with FRX 7.1 I found the ROM didn't really matter. The easiest way to get it running again (without Gen Y) was to disable sense/home screen.

As arrrgggghhhh said, WinMo ROM won't impact free RAM or battery life one bit.

my next question is, is it possible to set my TP2 on frx to get GPS coordinates from the cell towers as opposed to satellite?

Next question:
I'm having problems with Wi-Fi. It used to work fine, but the suddenly it stopped working.
Under "wireless & Network Settings" the Wi-Fi setting keeps going "turning on" then it says 'Error'.
I did reboot afew times but no help. I also tried some wifi repairing apps like FXR wifi, but no success...

Wifi repairing apps...? Sounds dangerous.

Anyhoo, either post some logs or try updating your kernel. Make sure the modules match!

I'll do both, how do I get the logs and how do I update the Kerel and check the modules?
