There are two available right now! \\:D/ a cm6 port, and Gingercherry (a stock gingerbread build). I assume neopeek's cm7 port will be released in the next couple days and hopefully tiad's BLAZN too

Just reminding everyone that this will not work on NAND as ACL made us his own recovery (which ultimately inspired neopeek to port CWM to Haret).

Also, though some of Tiad's stuff is interesting, he is not the creator of the BLAZN builds. That's yet another thing he took and claimed as his own. Every time I see NAND related content from him, it's a direct copy/paste of something ACL or I said without giving us credit for that work. I'd be very cautious of anything NAND related from him.

Im sorry for my newbie-ness, but what does clockworkmod recovery mean. I tried to understand from the link you posted but still couldnt figure it out. Figured I'd ask here instead of starting a new post.

CWM is the most popular recovery replacement from which you can install new system images. This is almost the same as installing a new ROM on Windows Mobile. CWM also offers other options like clearing the dalvik cache, wiping the data partition, and doing incremental updates on the system rather than replacing the whole thing. You can do things like install all of your favorite applications using an update.zip which makes it much easier to get your phone set back up after installing a new system.

I tried Gingercherry, but had a lot of force closes. Haven't tried CM6 yet. Froyo X Ginger loaded and runs very smooth, but I'm having trouble downloading apps from Marketplace (causes an Android reboot).

Neopeek working on CWM was definitely inspired by ACL, he said so in his post.

I decided to look at tiad's site, it's a hilarious copypasta. I don't think he did anything original on that site, it's all ctrl-c ctrl-v. Our FAQ for example was just copypasta'd. As nate said, a lot of the NAND stuff was just copypasta'd. Sad really.

Anyhoo, I posted a CM7 build with ClockWorkMod. Definitely needs some lovin, going to try to give it some more ;). CWM is a spiffy way to update ROMs, but it's a little depressing on SD since rebooting goes back to WinMo :p.

Interesting, Wish i still had my TP2 to try some of this stuff.

Just a reminder Tiad8's work is no longer welcome here.

Chat about it is fine, but lets not post his copy pasta.

I'm waiting for a CWM version of cherry pie or gingercherry; I hope there's a version of Froyo B also; these are all very smooth builds that make my Tp2 feel like a native android device.
