Any encryption apps ?

I am looking for a reliable application that would create an encrypted container in Android, sort of like Truecrypt or FreeOTFE for Windows. Any recommendations ?

(I know that the entire phone can be encrypted, but there's a problem with this approach - a long phone access passcode is too tedious and inconvenient, and any short 4-digits passcode is easy to break. To me, the passcode is just to keep the snoopers out. Besides, seems like Android system encryption was just broken by some researchers).

You are not limited to 4 digits, you have up to 16 characters. And the encryption on Android has not been cracked by researches. All they did was brute force it because people used short/simple passwords. If you use a full sized 16 character complex password they won't be able to break it with brute force for 10 years.

What in specific do you wish to encrypt? Like there are apps like touchdown which encrypt all your exchange/activesync stuff for example.

If that is what he wants, then maybe this would be better:

As it supports Truecrypt
