Help! Now I'm really confused! (Question with MMS/Data) --- Verizon

Hello again everyone. After upgrading to a XV6900, I no longer was charged per minute, instead I got switched to the new nationwide where I am charged 1.5 cents per kilobyte. I did not sign up for a data package. I've noticed that sending picture messages counts as using data, so I decided to call Verizon Wireless customer service to figure out why. The guy basically told me that, as a feature of my device, and due to the unlimited text package, I can browse the internet and do anything data related without being charged. I KNOW that I don't have a 30 or 45$ data package... so what gives?

Can anyone give me a straight answer? Do I have unlimited data, as he said, or just for MMS?
