Screen Durability

I hate dealing with these screen protectors. I had one of the no adhesive ones on mine, and stuff kept getting under it somehow. There's a blemish in my screen from something getting under it and rubbing in my pocket.

My question is, how durable are the screens on the 6800? I know the iPhone's screen is pretty tough. I'm just trying to decide if the screen will get scratched too badly naked in my pocket (it has it's own pocket, so no keys or anything).

I'm just sick of dealing with these screen protectors and trying to get them perfectly clean to put them back on. I'd rather just go naked if the screen is durable enough.

[edit] If there's reason to believe the screen would stand up pretty well, I'm willing to try it. I have the $7/month insurance, so if it gets scratched up I can always swap out. Also, on that insurance, is it 2 swaps per calendar year (meaning I can get 2 swaps before 2008, then 2 swaps in 200, or 2 swaps within the past year (meaning if I do two swaps now, I can't swap again till October 200?
