I've been on Alltel, Sprint and metroPCS, i've tried different radios ranging from the verizon, telus, and both sprint radios and for me the difference between them has been negligible, with the telus radio i seemed to drop my evdo connection down to 1x alot for some reason. This phone gets hot, period. Radio change or not, it still gets rather warm, at least mine does. Best thing to do is to try them all for yourself and see which one makes a difference for you.
