I'm assuming this is the same for the CDMA versions. Anyone confirm?

Here's the procedure to enter bootloader mode on the Treo Pro, aka Treo 850. This is another proof (not that you needed any more) that it is manufactured by HTC, since you can enter bootloader mode the same way as, say the HTC Trinity (TRIN100):

1. Remove the battery cover
2. Hold down the camera button at the left side
3. Hold down the power button at the top
4. Soft-reset with the stylus

This also reveals the device codename: PANT100, which we may safely assume to be HTC Panther, since the Treo 750 was Cheetah. My device reads:
PANT100
SPL-0.59.0000
CPLD-2
Let us know if you have different values, this could be interesting to nail down certain bugs to specific rom versions.
To quit the bootloader mode, just soft reset again.
