Re: GPS Tom Tom

I believe the version 6.75 maps work with the most recent version of TomTom 7. At least that's what I've heard, best you check yourself as well.

Usually maps (at least for Garmin) are locked to devices using 'fingerprinting' codes. Licenses from the use of one GPS device doesn't really transfer over to a license in another device, just as how you aren't supposed to install the same Windows XP on two different computers. The software and cabs themself are available freely and you are likely to find them around on xda or even on the tomtom website itself. If you want to use your maps in your phone, you'll likely have to unlock the maps before your phone can recognize the maps as valid. Unfortunately this is considered cracking/warez and therefore outside the boundaries of such of a forum. Depending on how much you value copyright law, you can probably find more information on the googles.
