No way it should chew through your battery that fast if that's all you're running. What is your signal strength? I have a grocery store near me that pretty much blocks Sprint's signal and I can go through 50-60% of my battery while I'm shopping as the phone keeps searching for a signal. It also gets pretty hot while searching for a signal.

You may also want to install a task manager like dotfred. It will show you all running processes and how much resources each one is using.

You can also switch the radio off for a few hours to confirm if that's the culprit.
