You'll only need the kitchen if you're cooking your own ROM. You just need your ROM of choice if you're going to flash. A warning I give to noobs is to make sure you've read all you can about your device and WinMo in general before you attempt a flash. If you don't follow the instructions perfectly or are not comfortable with the process, you can, and likely will, brick your device. This magically turns a usefull PPC into a paperweight.
