Anybody Able to Sync with Outlook?

Did some searching on this and what seems to most often come up is that Microsoft is aware of the issue and is working on it.
My setup is the Tilt on ATT with Windows XP Pro Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 (a co-worker that upgraded to Service Pack 3 has had no better luck) and Outlook 2003 SP3.
The phone has no upgraded ROM. It's WM6, CE OS 5.2.1622.
ActiveSync is 4.5.
This actually worked for a little while then I started having troubles.
I've reloaded AS on the computer and did all the little suggestions like the USB/PC disabling of "Enable advanced network functionality".
I've also disabled Windows firewall as well as Norton firewall.
When I connect the Tilt, the little green ActiveSync icon in the tray spins a few times and then stop. The "connected" box doesn't pop up, or the initial setup box.
I've rebooted the computer, as well as hard reset the Tilt.

I've seen suggestions from people to do this or that, but can't tell if they're just being helpful, or actually have this working for them.

Anybody out there actually getting this to work for them?
