Confirmed! (at least for me) you can easily take the HTC Shutdown GIF (the one that comes with all stock roms) and use it as your Start up Gif instead of the Sprint power GIF. Just make a copy of animiations_htc.gif, rename is startup_640x480, drop in your windows folder, exit. and soft reset to see the animation
