This has been discussed many times over. But to save you the trouble of searching...This is a "feature' so to speak. When the phone gets hot from multitasking (i.e. talking on the phone and charging) it won't charge to keep the battery from blowing up.
There are tons of threads trying to figure out why and how to work around it but as far as I know, there is nothing you can do, except take the battery cover off the back and open up the keyboard and as hbenz suggested, use bluetooth while charging..
