The auto settings use the imap service, where as outlook uses pop3. Anyone trying to change their settings, it won't work. It just insists on you using the imap setting.
I had to delete my yahoo account (hold down the stylus over yahoo! and select delete), then re-enter using
username@yaho.co.uk (note the missing o!). It then allows you to set the settings.
Set the incoming as: pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk (you may need to select pop3 from the drop down menu)
Outgoing as : smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk
set your user name and password. Remember to click "save password"
