PIE temporarily hangs on initial load & site connection, any ideas?

Pocket Internet Explorer, upon connecting to a website on the internet, will hang the device for 30-60 seconds, then everything else resumes.

This only happens the first time (and each time) I run PIE after a boot, and only when it is connecting to a website (my default page is favorites, it does not hang when PIE loads the default page). When I connect to a website, the page loads, then the device hangs for a period, and then everything resumes.

After the first time, I can completely terminate PIE, restart, go to a website, and it works just fine.

The only thing I've done is move the history, cache, and cookies to the card through registry settings. I moved everything back but still no joy.

Has anyone seen anything like this, or close to it? What is the solution?

Thanks.
