If its anything like the Mogul then it will take a new driver to have that option.
EDIT: I tried NueLED and it appears to work on the Touch Pro at least partially. I haven't tested it completely, but I have made it turn off the charging LED. You can also redirect the Bluetooth or wireless (wifi) to the charging, charding done or notification LED. This will make the d-pad disk light up when you have either of these enabled.
Use it at your own risk and make sure you reboot after installing for it to take effect initially.
