Is it fully charged or plugged in? How are you performing a hard reset? You should be pressing the reset button (next to the battery under the back) and pressing the "end" button at the same time. Then you'll be prompted to hit "up" with your d-pad to continue. Why were you doing a hard reset?

Do another one and report back.
