Unread message Toasts

I have 2 email accounds syncing down to my Treo 700wx. I get a fair bit of email that I don't read but keep for reference if I need it. The annoying bit is I keep getting notifications/toasts about xx unread email messages for both accounts. Its freaking annoying because I get toasts for both accounts. I can't find anyway to stop these messages. All I really care about is when a new message comes in. I'll look at it if I want, or ignore it, leaving it unread. I really don't want to go though and mark each message as read. If it comes in and I don't care about it, I'd like to be able to just dismiss the toast and go on about my business. Does anyone have any idea what generates this message or maybe how to disable it? It seems to be generated whenever it checks for new mail. If there was no mail, it'll tell me how many unread messages I have. I'd rather it just not tell me anything at all... I can't find anything about it anywhere, though.

Thanks in advance!
