How to connect to PC internet connection via Bluetooth?

I have a HTC Harrier (i-mate PDA2k, Verison VX6600, Audiovox PPC6601) and want to access my pc internet connection (and ActiveSync) via a Bluetooth USB dongle. Don't know if this is two birds that can be killed with one stone.
I have ActiveSync 4.5 and it works well via the phone's cradle. But I don't know how to access it via Bluethooth.
My PC has XP, but the Control Panel has no 'Bluetooth Devices' (or similar) icon. I have installed BlueSoliel software and this works well with my phone.
I may have my thinking wrong here, but I assume if I can get ActiveSync via Bluetooth then I automatically have an internet connection via my PC. Whether that is correct or not I am still looking for a way to access the internet using Bluetooth and my PC internet connection.

Anyone who can point me in the right direction?
