I do not hink you are doing any thing wrong, I think it is because SkyFire can not handle what you are trying to to, I mean it does not support something like that to send the audio through the phon's audio drivers, I could be wrong though, I would suggest to contact Tech Support for the SkyFire team tell them the situation.
and about the WMP I think you are correct about that.
