I'm using the Treo's email app. My main email account only has a pop address, so I have to use a different SMTP server address. This is not a problem, since I have a gmail account and use the gmail's SMTP server address. The only problem with this is, since I have to use my Gmail user account for the account login/password for outbound mail, all emails sent will have my gmail user account.
For example, my main email account is
Ed@mymail.com. This account ONLY has a pop server address. Therefore, I need to use my gmail's SMTP server address, so I have to use my Gmail account of
Ed@gmail.com. If I send maill from
Ed@Mymail.com, the receiver will see the From address as
Ed@gmail.com.
I have tried Fleximail, which still does the same thing. The only app I found that will let me use
Ed@mymail.com is emoze, but I hate Emoze. You have to let the app run on both the PC and Treo. If you get disconnected, Emoze needs to connect back and you get these connection messages, which is a PITA.
So I'm looking for an alternative email app.
