I have had the colored bars show up during a reset but that was just part of the reset. do try taking out the battery and maybe several soft resets, but ultimately, a hard reset will be needed. If that does not work you have a hardware issue and may need to get it serviced or replaced. The mic and speaker quitting on you troubles me more than anything else. thats not good news. did it get wet ?
