I have been waiting for EVDO in my area for over a year now. Sprint finally signed a contract with nTelos in my area to provide EVDO services.
I have tried to get a PRL update to allow me to roam on those towers (as my other friends with sprint are able to), but every attempt has been unsuccessful.
What I have tried:
- Over The Air update by calling *2...says it is complete, nothing changes.
- Hard resets
- Updated my phone to Sprint 1.15 (this bumped my PRL from 20224 to 20227...not far enough)
- I have tried deleting my PRI profile and running the vision services setup again.
I have even tried to take it to a Sprint repair store, which told me their machine was down. The nearest one to me other than that one is 45 minutes away...I called them and they *assured* me that they know of no service centers that can do a PRL update. Now they are telling me that I should go out of state...what a great solution.
I'm really frusturated. I need PRL 20232 but I seem stuck at 20227.
Does anyone know of a way to install an updated PRL manually on a treo 700wx?
Would CDMA Workshop be of any use?
