Carrier = Service provider. For example: Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, etc.

HTC is a device manufacturer. They are now starting to tag their products with HTC, previously, they allowed carriers to name them whatever they wanted. For example, the Verizon XV6900 is the HTC Vogue.

You can always go to Start - Settings - System - Device Information - Identity. The Sprint Touch (also an HTC Vogue) displays: VOGU100.

On the other hand, I do not believe your device is manufactured by HTC. However, I am not 100% either, but I do not believe Motorola released HTC products under their brand.
