OK. A few weeks ago I posted looking for help with upgrading my Verizon VX6800 ROM and OS to WM6.1 (unlocking phone, radio, GPS, etc.).

Even though many of you told me to try since it was so easy, I was intimidated by the number of guys who've testified to "bricking" their phone.

Matt19 said he could help. I drove to Grand Rapids and met him in a Barnes & Noble, and he handled the upgrade for me seamlessly, and explained every step so that I might be brave enough to do it myself next time. For this service, I paid him $50.00 -- though he did not set an amount and said I was being a little too generous.

In any case, for my fellow timid souls, let me say Matt19 is your guy, and can be trusted. If you don't live near to Grand Rapids, MI, and can do without your phone long enough for turn-around time, he works by mail too.
