Yeah - think of it as a Control Alt Delete - and, if you have anything open that you didn't yet save (ie, a word doc, message you were creating, etc), then you will lose THAT particular data. What was meant when D5 said you "will not lose any data" is that it's not like a "hard reset" which wipes the phone out to "new condition" like when you bring it home from the store - or, if you have a custom rom installed, it will revert back to the initial rom configuration.

I've found that to help with unexpected problems, soft reset with the stylus into that little button once a day...cuz this OS is far from perfect -no matter how well its been tweaked & modified by the various ROM folks...
