You can get the new Kitchen 6.1 buildos and updater to run properly by installing both Mdac 2.8 and Mdac 2.8 SP1 from the Mndn Microsoft site...
If you have boot issues you can resort to F8 -"last known good configuration" and safe mode with networking until you get both downloads of Mdac installed...

Should only require 2.7. Did you have to install 2.8 to get it to work? Also, this requirement will be removed in the next release.
