Our first game "Run Crab Run" for iPhone/iPad is out.

Hi fellow PPCGeeks,

A friend (graphic artist) and I (programmer) decided to get into the glorious world of iphone game development.

After much caffeine, sweat and tears our game is ready and finally made it into the appstore. The game itself (called "Run Crab Run") is a Temple Run styled game set in a colourfully rendered underwater environment. The main characters are the gullible Mr. Crab and the cynical shopkeeper Mr. Fish. The game features typical endless runner type game mechanics and creates long term motivation via power-ups, achievements and unlock-able bonus content. As a unique twist, the actual running area is a 360 degree freely rotatable surface, which mimicks the disorientation experienced while underwater. The player can choose between accelerometer and classic button controls for movement. Tapping causes the main character to jump in order to avoid obstacles. As an added difficulty, enemies have been introduced which need to be disposed of in a fruit ninja-style swiping motion.

Along the way we learned a lot about game mechanics, app development and how to live on a shoestring. However we enjoyed the ride immensely and wouldn't want to miss this experience for anything in the world. We would be very happy, if you could give it a shot. We have a Lite version for the people living on a budget , but it would be epic if somebody would invest in the full or HD version which is also available, so we can keep doing what we love and provide new features in upgrades.

If you are interested we have a gameplay trailer on youtube

Also, here have some screenshots of Mr.Crab from the Main Menu:

And the actual running part:

For the people who are into free stuff, we provide free promo codes to the HD version for our facebook friends.

I hope you enjoy this game and please support Indie gaming, as it injects creativity into the games ecosystem, that the big publishers seem to have forgotten long ago.

Many thx,

Chris
