Dear vkgupta87
The rom is in .bin file format not in .cab format, so you have to use LGNPST for flashing the rom.
If you do not have LGNPST you can download from
http://www.mediafire.com/?azm89r85x6k2hhz or search by google for LG Drivers and LGNPST in which you find all details. This software works only on winXP sp2 or 3. Before flashing be sure to copy your .nvs file of your phone by LGNPST. In LGNPST there is option phone setting. So that in case of any problem you can rewrite your .nvs file.
Please do it on your own risk. although there is no any risk if you do it in a proper way.
